PLP members

PLP is a business network of local authority legal teams, and the information held relates to a person’s role in that team.  No sensitive personal information is held.

The members area of the website requires users to login, using authentication processes.  The information required for this is managed within the website back office which is access controlled, with encryption and verification arrangements.

The information provided for the ‘people’ element includes name, email address, telephone number, job role, legal team, area of work, photo image, year of qualification. This information is provided when the user profile is set up, is visible to logged in PLP users to enable contact between members, and is editable by the user and website administrator.

With the agreement of those involved, the contact details of members are featured in various areas of the website, including lists of partners, groups, vacancies, case studies, and legal updates.

The website backoffice system (Umbraco) was updated in June 2018 to ensure that the data fields and formats are managed in accordance with the GDPR principles.

There is a weekly email of ‘new content’ auto generated and sent to email addresses of users, PLP members have the facility to opt-out of receiving this email.
